Had a Crepe Time in San Francisco
by Tisha
(Oklahoma)
My husband had been working in San Francisco. When his work recently ended, I flew out share the drive home with him. While in San Francisco, we visited Pier 39. There is a crepe restaurant there where you get to watch your crepes being made. We had a huge strawberry and dark chocolate crepe with whipped cream. It was so good!
I used to make crepes years ago when my kids were little, but stopped for some reason. I came home from San Francisco vowing to mend the error of my ways and not deny my children the love and goodness of crepes. I have recently gotten a crepe griddle and made crepes twice this week. This morning my son made them. Cool! We are starting simple with strawberries and cream cheese filling, but I can not wait to branch out and try all manner of sweet and savory crepes.
Your newsletter and blog will be a big help along the way.
Note from Ashley, from World of Crepes: Thank you, Tisha, for the kind words. If it's the same restaurant I'm thinking of, I think I've been there, too, with my friend Deb, when I visited her in SF last year. It's got a big window overlooking the boardwalk, correct? And the crepes were giant!
I'm so glad that you're rediscovering your love of crepes. Strawberry and cream cheese is a great way to start!
