Cuban Sandwich Recipe for Crepes

Roast Pork, Smoked Ham, and Swiss Cheese Grilled Crepe

roast pork, smoked ham, and swiss cheese grilled in crepes

Enjoy Cuban pork sandwiches? Looking for easy lunch ideas? Our cuban pork sandwich recipe for crepes will become one of your favorite roast pork recipes or smoked ham recipes.

This tasty combination also includes swiss cheese, honey mustard and dill pickles layered in a crepe that's grilled until it's golden brown and crispy.

It's a great quick lunch or dinner that you can assemble in just minutes.

For a tropical twist, my friend Melissa and I recommend serving this crepe recipe with a round of orange mojitos.

Ingredients:

  • 4 sandwich-size slices of roast pork
  • 4 sandwich-size slices of smoked ham
  • 4 slices of swiss cheese
  • 8 kosher pickle slices, stacker-style
  • 4 tbsp of honey dijon mustard
  • basic crepes

Assemble crepes: Lay first crepe on a flat working surface. Spread one half of the crepe with honey mustard. Top with one slice each of roast pork, smoked ham, 2 pickles and 1 slice of swiss cheese. If necessary, slice pork and ham to fit within the crepe. Fold over the other half of crepe to form a half-moon shape. Repeat with remaining crepes.

Grill crepes. Heat 1 tablespoon of butter or margarine in a medium skillet over medium low heat until melted. Using a spatula, place 2 crepes in skillet and grill both sides until golden brown and the cheese has melted. Repeat with remaining crepes and serve immediately.

Yield: 4 servings (1 crepe each)
