Enjoy strawberry desserts? Try these delicious strawberry treats featuring fresh strawberries, strawberry preserves and cream cheese rolled up in crepes.

Recipes using cream cheese make wonderful breakfast or brunch dishes.

And when you add fresh strawberries and preserves, you've got a meal as beautiful as it is delicious.

We love to serve these strawberry crepes for dessert as well!

  • 2 cups of strawberries, sliced
  • 1 cup water
  • ¾ cups of sugar, divided
  • 1 tbsp of lemon juice
  • 1 8 oz. block of cream cheese, softened
  • ¼ cup of strawberry preserves
  • Whipped cream, for garnish
  • dessert crepes

Mix sugar, water and lemon juice together until sugar dissolves. Pour over sliced berries and refrigerate for at least four hours. Stir at least twice to distribute juices. Note: For this step, you may substitute frozen, sweetened strawberries that have been thawed.

Using electric mixer, combine strawberry preserves and cream cheese until combined. Fold in strawberries. For one serving, spread ¼ cup of the strawberry cream cheese mixture across half of one crepe. Fold in half and then in triangles. Repeat procedure for remaining three crepes. Top each crepe with a dollop of whipped cream and fresh berry slices.

Yield: 4 servings (1 crepe each)
