Rum Raisin Sauce - Recipe for Crepes
Seeking simple dessert recipes? Try our rum raisin sauce for your dessert crepe recipes. It's quick, simple and one of my favorite crepe filling recipes.
We recommend this sauce as a topping for banana crepes, as pictured, or grilled pineapple.
It's also a delicious addition to plain crepes fresh off the pan.
However you serve it, the flavor will add a tropical twist to any dessert crepe recipe!
Ingredients:
- 4 tbsp of butter
- ½ cup of light brown sugar
- ¼ cup of dark rum
- ¼ cup of raisins (dark or golden)
- ⅛ tsp of ground allspice (or cinnamon)
Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add allspice and sugar and stir together until sugar dissolves. Add rum and raisins. Stir together and cook for an additional minute. Remove from heat and serve immediately. Yield: ⅔ cup of sauce Want more dessert crepe recipes like this one? Subscribe to
