Easy White Chocolate Sauce

White chocolate recipes such as our easy white chocolate sauce make a delicious addition to any dessert crepe recipe.

Just what is white chocolate? Remember in the History of Chocolate when we discussed the invention of a hydraulic press to remove the cocoa butter from chocolate?

The by-product from this process—cocoa butter—is the primary ingredient of white chocolate. It also includes sugar and milk. Try this white chocolate sauce recipe as a topping for your crepe recipes. It also works well as a fondue.

Ingredients:

  • 2 white chocolate baking or candy bars, 4 oz. each
  • ¾ cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon of orange liqueur (optional)

Directions for Melting White Chocolate: Fill the bottom of a double-boiler with water. Bring to a boil. Break up chocolate bars and place in top bowl. Add cream and stir together until melted. Stir in liqueur.
